Shanghai Police Clearance Certificate - Required Documents
1 Passports
Your passport which used in Shanghai and passport which is valid now.
Bio page, all Chinese visa pages and all Chinese stamp pages.
We do not ask for original passport, as 1:1 scan of above passport pages will be fine.
2 Letter of Authorization
A letter of authorization is the document showing that the applicant authorize us to all relevent work for obtaining PCC. It also be called as power of attorney.
The Letter of Authorization must be authenticated/legalized by a Chinese embassy/consulate.
3 Registration Form of Temporary Residence
The Registration Form of Temporary Residence is a important document to tell the jurisdiction. If you have not registered in police station, your application will be rejected. If you have some forms, you can only apply to cover the periods shows on the registration forms.
4 Alien Employment Permit, Foreign Expert Permit or Foreign Work Permit (Optional)
5 Graduation Certificate or Degree Certificate (Optional)

2 Notarizing Police Clearance Certificate at Shanghai Notary Office
According to a report released by Shanghai Bureau of Justice in Aug 2018, there are 23 notary offices in Shanghai. But not all of them familiar with Foreigners PCC application. If you ask the immigration department of Shanghai police or police stations, in most case, you will be redirected to the Shanghai Oriental Notary Office. So we have its information for you.
